STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® is axe-cited to announce the dates for the 2024 TIMBERSPORTS® World Championship, which will see the season highlight contested in France for the first time. On Friday 8th and Saturday 9th November 2024, the world's elite logger sports athletes will take to the stage at Toulouse's famed Zénith Toulouse Metropole arena.

TEAM COMPETITION – 8 November 2024
The 2024 Team World Championship will open an intense weekend of high-octane TIMBERSPORTS® action on Friday 8th November. The national teams will go head-to-head against each other in a knockout format with four athletes from each nation completing the renowned four TIMBERSPORTS® disciplines: Stock Saw, Single Buck, Underhand Chop and Standing Block Chop.

After claiming their eighth world title at the 2023 Team World Championship in Stuttgart, Germany, Australia will again be heavy favourites to strike for gold. A formidable group of rivals, spearheaded by 2023 podium finishers USA and Canada, as well as noisy neighbours New Zealand will look to put an end to their supremacy.

Team format

Team competitions comprise four disciplines that need to be completed back-to-back by four athletes in a relay. All athletic levels and genders may participate in these competitions, and mixed teams are allowed.
